It was about 11:00 p.m. when 41-year-old Guadalupe Hernandez-Lopez was under the influence of alcohol and driving south in the northbound lanes of 20th Street West. He then collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Samantha Wade, 22, seriously injuring her. His car continued to crash into a parked car and eventually a house, causing considerable damage. Hernandez-Lopez was hospitalized along with Wade, but sustained only minor injuries. He was then arrested on numerous DUI-related charges.

A vehicle containing two men and a 2-year-old girl was seen driving the wrong way in the northbound lane of Main Street before it failed to turn at the intersection and hit a building. All occupants of the vehicle were injured, though no injuries were life-threatening. Upon further investigation, drugs and a stolen firearm were found in the vehicle. Check back for updates.

A woman from Casco was arrested Friday night after striking 2 cars and a house while driving on Route 302 in Naples. One vehicle was reported being side-swiped as it was crossing the Causeway bridge. About a mile away, a second car was struck by the same vehicle in the wrong lane. The Casco woman then drove off the road and crashed into a home at the intersection of Roosevelt Trail and Songo School Road.

A man who crashed his car into a house Thursday evening is accused of driving the wrong way down another street minutes earlier — all while being “extremely impaired.” Burlington police were searching for the 1994 Honda Accord driven by Mario O’Keith Strayhorn, 22, of Roslyn Drive, after it struck another car while going the wrong way down Fisher Street.

Aided by a witness who followed a hit-and-run driver, police arrested a Youngstown woman on a variety of charges early Saturday stemming from an accident on the Robert Moses Parkway. According to reports, the suspect struck a car driven by a Youngstown man around 5:30 a.m., then drove away from the scene. A witness to the accident followed the fleeing driver, and sheriff’s deputies were able to stop her car on Blairville Road a short time later. Carole R. Rossi displayed signs of intoxication and was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.16, twice the legal limit, police said.
