Police believe that a 37-year-old man was drunk and may have been using inhalants while driving during a serious four-vehicle crash on 4425 South and 700 East Thursday evening. The man was northbound on 700 East when he first rear-ended another northbound vehicle. His car then crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a southbound vehicle, nearly head-on, before rotating and striking one more vehicle. Two children, a 9-year-old girl and10-year-old boy, were both hospitalized with serious injuries and were in the first car to be struck.

A vehicle caught fire Saturday morning after a driver crashed into a car while driving on I-15. The incident happened on the southbound lanes as one car slowed down with traffice and the other did not, which caused one vehicle to rear-end the other. The incident caused Aliilotolelei Vaofusi to escape their vehicle as it caught on fire. the driver that hit Vaofusi, Nichole Weems, was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence.

A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured Tuesday morning when she collided with the rear end of a school bus on foggy Highway 89/91 in Cache County. Logan police said the accident report came in at 7:37 a.m. from the area of 800 West and 1700 South. A girl was driving an Oldsmobile Alero westbound on 800 West and because of dense fog did not see the stop sign at the road’s intersection with the highway. She went into the intersection and collided with the rear of the bus, which was carrying more than a dozen children to Adams Elementary School in Logan, police said.
