Sunday, October 5, 2014Rena Little, 53, of Albemarle was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 85 just before 5 a.m. on Sunday about 3 miles southwest of Lexington. Two others, including Little's 20-year-old son, received treatment for minor injuries. Two separate rear-end crashes involved the Littles' Honda. In the first crash, a Chevrolet vehicle rear-ended the Honda, which was going 45 mph in a travel lane due to a spare tire. After coming to an uncontrolled stop in the second lane, the Honda was then hit by a tractor-trailer and dragged until it came to rest on the shoulder.
