Spokane County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program
It is the mission of the Spokane County Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) to provide select legal services to low-income residents of Spokane County who may otherwise be denied adequate representation or access to the civil justice system, and to encourage local attorneys to fulfill their duty to provide pro bono services.
Spokane County Division of Engineering and Roads
The Division of Engineering and Roads' mission is to provide and maintain the best possible county road system today and in the future, provide cost effective equipment and vehicle purchase, rental, leasing and maintenance services for county departments, provide general information regarding public and private roads, development standards, drainage and floodplain guidelines, permits for approaches and street obstruction. We also provide design, construction, traffic, traffic safety and transportation demand management programs county wide.
Stevens County Jail
The purpose of the Stevens County Jail is to provide a safe place of incarceration for people arrested by law enforcement or sentenced to commitment by the court. We will strive to provide this service in the most humane and efficient manner possible, taking into consideration our obligation to public safety and the inmate's Constitutional Rights.
Stevens County Public Works Department
The overall function of the Department of Public Works is to provide services primarily in the unincorporated portions of Stevens County. These services include the maintenance, design and construction of the County road system, and the operation of solid waste facilities, which include the landfill and various transfer stations.
