Whitman County Legal Services
Whitman County Legal Services Program is sponsored by the Whitman County Bar Association whose members serve as volunteers and advisors. The program is administered and supported by Community Action Center. The program serves people who are eligible for legal services according to federal Legal Services Corporation Guidelines. The program also provides information and referral services to Whitman County residents.
Whitman County Public Works Department
The purpose of the Department of Public Works, is to provide those vital services the public depends upon, plowing snow, grading roads, building new roads and bridges, disposing of garbage, inspecting buildings, permitting new projects, planning for the future and budgeting for all of the above.
Yakima County Department of Corrections
The Mission of the Yakima County Department of Corrections is to actively contribute to the safety and wellness of the citizens of Yakima County by providing a safe, secure and humane correctional environment.
Yakima County Superior Court
Yakima County Superior Court has 8 full time elected Judges as authorized by law. The Court has 3 full-time appointed court commissioners to handle additional workload at multiple court facilities. The Court Administrator’s Office handles judicial scheduling and assignments and the budget matters of the Court. The County Clerk’s Office is separate from Superior Court and handles court fines, and restitution, court records and data dissemination, and provides clerk staff for the Superior Court courtrooms.
Yakima County District Court
Washington State district and municipal courts may consider civil and criminal matters related to misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic, non-traffic, and parking infractions, domestic violence protection orders, civil actions of $75,000 or less, and small claims up to $5,000.

Immigration Advocates Network Pro Bono Resource Center provides information on pro bono (free) attorneys representing low-income immigrants.
