Charlotte, NCOne person is dead after an wreck on Brookshire Freeway at the North Davidson Exit. Sunday morning just before 3:30 a.m.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said a 2013 Honda Civic was traveling the wrong way on the Brookshire Freeway inner loop when it struck a 2001 Dodge Caravan head-on.
Police said 36-year-old Cory Rodriguez Lee was pronounced deceased on the scene. Lee was the driver of the Honda Civic.
Police said the driver of the 2001 Dodge Caravan, Juan Manuel Diaz Zarante, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Charlotte, NCPolice have arrested a man who they say fell asleep behind the wheel and hit another car head-on, killing the driver.
Trungquan Le Tran, 23, is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
The crash was reported at 9:03 a.m. on the 10500 block of Steele Creek Road near Collingham Drive, according to Charlotte police.
Police say Tran fell asleep as he was driving his 2009 Honda Accord southbound. He crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2013 Volkswagen Passat head on.

Charlotte, NCAn investigation is underway after a Charlotte police officer was involved in a crash with a motorcycle before crashing head-on into another vehicle.
According to police, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer was involved in a crash with a motorcycle along the 8400-block of Wilkinson Boulevard around 4:25 p.m. Monday afternoon.
The officer then crashed, head-on, into a pickup truck in the area.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The officer was not injured in the collisions.
