Man killed in head-on crash in Charlotte

A man was killed in a head-on crash in east Charlotte Friday, according to police. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Detective Gormican at 704-336-2677 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. Police say they believe that drug and/or alcohol impairment contributed to the crash, but did not give further details. Investigators said that 54-year-old Nathan Tyler Doster was driving a 1997 Honda Accord when he crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Jeep Cherokee head-on. Doster, who officers said was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
