Gail Silverstone was backing up from a parking place in a parking garage on Bethesda Avenue when her vehicle instead accelerated forward, striking the wall of the garage. She was transported to a local hospital where she died two days later. No one else was injured in the crash.

At around 9:00am, an 80-year-old man was driving a car with three other passengers southbound on I-5 when he lost control of the vehicle and it departed the roadway and rolled over. All four occupants of the vehicle were removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, though all injuries appeared to minor. We will update this accident as more information is released.

Sometime in the afternoon, an elderly woman was driving on North Pearl Street when she lost control of the vehicle, crashed through a fence, and rolled the vehicle upside-down into a rentention pond, which was about 2 feet deep. Fortunately, police and firefighters were able to rescue the woman, who apparently only sustained minor injuries.

At about 9:00 am, Dempewolf was traveling east on Highway 12 when he veered off the right shoulder, overcorrected, and veered off the left shoulder before finally striking a rock. Dempewolf was hurt and taken to the hospital, though further details on his condition weren't available. The crash was likely simply caused by inattentive driving according to authorities, and Dempewolf will probably not be cited.

On Tuesday Regina Cable, 75, veered off of Harmony Road in Young Township. Cable's car then traveled down an embankment and struck two road signs before finally crashing into a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about 6:30 a.m., an elderly driver rolled over and crashed into a gravel pit near the 215 Beltway and Lone Mountain Road, according to Lt. Patrick Charoen. The driver was pronounced dead at scene. Authorities do not believe he was wearing a seat belt. At about 1:20pm, a car containing only one man crashed into Lake Coeur d'Alene, and ended up about 20 feet from the shore and 6 feet underwater. Bystanders witnessed the accident and managed to rescue the man, who is alive but currently in critical condition at Kootenai Medical Center. Divers check to see if there were other passengers but found none. We will update this accident as more information is released.

An elderly man was backing out of his carport at the Eagle Harbor Condos about 3:30 p.m. when he ran over a 71-year-old woman and struck her 3-year-old grandson as they were walking.

Marylou Manchester, 85, of North Bangor was driving on Cogswell Corner Road when she reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the passenger side of a 2012 Impala driven by Edward J. Knight, 78, of Colton. Both vehicles went off the north shoulder and came to rest in a field. Mr. Knight’s wife, Bonnie L., 73, was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where she died of her injuries. Mr. Knight was treated for minor injuries. Ms. Manchester was listed as stable Sunday night after being treated for chest pain. Her passengers, Frances C. Manchester, Elsie H.

The 70-year-old man was headed east on Burmeister Road in Bridgewater Township, Michigan at around 12:21 PM when he veered off the roadway to the left, hit a gate, drove across a yard and hit the house smashing his pickup into a kitchen. Nobody in the house was injured, and the driver was treated for minor injuries before being charged with DUI and taken to Washtenaw County Jail.
