Bethesda Parking Garage Crash Turns Fatal
Police said that Gail Silverstone, 88, of the 6600 block of 32nd Place NW D.C., was alert and speaking with first responders after apparently driving into a garage wall in the Bethesda-Elm Street Garage 57.

The driver has been identified as Gail Silverstone of Northwest, D.C. Silverstone was alert and speaking at the scene and was taken to the hospital, police said. Silverstone succumbed to her injuries and died on December 30th, police said
Gail Silverstone was backing up from a parking place in a parking garage on Bethesda Avenue when her vehicle instead accelerated forward, striking the wall of the garage. She was transported to a local hospital where she died two days later. No one else was injured in the crash.
