Jessica Edeington, of Villa Rica, Georgia was skydiving in central Florida when the canopies of two parachutes collided in midair. The accident took her life. Edeington had flown out of Skydive DeLand. The exact cause of death is being investigated.

Jessica Edgeington, of Villa Rica, Georgia, died Wedesday following a skydiving accident in which two parachute canopies collided. DeLand police said Edgeington had flown with Skydive DeLand. Few details are available; check back for updates.

Just before 8:30 a.m. on January 10th, DeLand police responded to reports a report of a hard landing during a Navy SEAL training exercise. Petty Officer First Class William "Blake" Marston was disvocered unconscious with a broken leg. He was transported to a hospital, where he died. A witness told authorities he saw something fly off of Marston's parachute when he was between 40 and 60 feet from the ground. Marston was flying with Skydive DeLand and DeLand Municipal airport.
