Woman Dies in Central Florida Skydiving Accident

 The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that this is the second parachuting death in DeLand this year and the ninth since 2005. 

Woman killed in DeLand skydiving accident identified

In a 911 call released Thursday, a woman told the dispatcher, "It was a canopy collision.  Two parachutes that came at each other, hit each other."

Navy SEAL William "Blake" Marston, 31, killed in skydiving training exercise in DeLand, Florida

Marston was flying with Skydive DeLand and DeLand Municipal airport. 
Jessica Edgeington, of Villa Rica, Georgia, died Wedesday following a skydiving accident in which two parachute canopies collided. DeLand police said Edgeington had flown with Skydive DeLand. Few details are available; check back for updates.
