A woman driver accused of first trying to run down a deputy who stopped her for not wearing a seat belt, then crashing her car, trying to scale a 6-foot fence and taking a swing at the deputy told the officer she really didn’t want to go back to jail. The woman eventually told a Spokane Valley sheriff’s deputy that she “got scared” Saturday night because she knew she had a suspended license and methamphetamine in her purse.
It was a wild scene Wednesday afternoon in Elizabethtown after police said a woman rammed her car right into the front entrance of a busy Kroger store, injuring two people, and has quite a history with grocery stores and crashes. Police said 52-year-old June Ann Blocker drove her car into a checkout lane. Apparently Blocker bought a 2006 four-door Lincoln earlier in the day for the sole purpose of crashing it into the store.
