Six people, including three children, were killed and four were injured Thursday night after a station wagon traveling north on U.S. 27 in Nicholasville lost control, crossed the median and hit a van head-on, police said. Police say the driver of a car, which had four passengers, was headed north on US 27, somehow lost control, crossed the median, and hit another car.

A Fresno man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with a crash on a Central Valley road that killed four people, including two children. The Fresno Bee reports that 43-year-old Rien Ban was booked into Fresno County Jail after Sunday afternoon's crash near Mendota. The California Highway Patrol says Ban tried to pass a slower vehicle in his SUV and smashed into a Kia. A woman and two boys riding in the Kia died.

Authorities have released the names of two young brothers killed in a car crash in Brimfield last week.

The Hampden district attorney's office on Monday announced that 4-year-old Dylan Riel and 1-year-old Jayce Riel were the victims of the crash on Route 20 on Friday. The driver of the car, their aunt, and another 4-year-old child in the vehicle, were hospitalized.

A 6-year-old West Finley boy was killed Wednesday night when he was ejected from a Jeep on Interstate 70 in Buffalo Township, police said. Dominic Rush was a passenger in a Jeep that lost control just east of the Taylorstown exit in Washington County at approximately 7:30 p.m., police said. The driver lost control, left the passing lane and traveled 342 feet in the median before the car rolled over on its roof. Dominic was ejected and pinned under the Jeep. Witnesses lifted the Jeep and removed the boy, police said. The driver was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital by a helicopter.

One person was killed and four others were transported overnight after a serious crash in Hardin County. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Joe Prather Highway between Woolridge Ferry and Happy Hollow roads. According to reports, two vehicles hit head-on and 23-year-old Ashlee Berry was killed. Berry was the only occupant in her vehicle. All four transported to the hospital were in the other vehicle. Police said three of those transported are children and they were air-lifted to Kosair Children's Hospital.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a 1-year-old child died after being hit by a car in a parking lot. The patrol says Kael Dame of Clay Center died in the accident Monday night at the Huntress Park ball field in Clay Center. The car driven by 58-year-old Peggy Ward, also of Clay Center, was leaving the parking lot when the accident occurred. Further details of the accident were not immediately released.

A 6-year-old boy was killed and his mother and 9-year-old sister were injured Sunday when their car flipped, landing upside down in a drainage ditch in east Harris County. Zulma Sevilla lost control of her black 1997 Toyota Corolla around 7:50 a.m. and crossed the center line in the 16200 block of De Zavalla in east Harris County. Her vehicle slid into the roadside ditch, hit a concrete retention area and flipped, accident investigators said. Carlos Chavez, 6, was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A mother and her three young children were transported to the hospital after the SUV in which they were traveling rolled into a ditch near the intersection of Old Hardin Road and Calamity Jane Boulevard. According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Moran, the wreck occurred at about 10 p.m. on Saturday as the woman was traveling northbound on Calamity Jane Boulevard and "failed to negotiate a turn in the road."

A child is dead after a four-car crash on Highway 169 this morning. The accident happened around 8 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near 76th Street North. All lanes were reopened just after 10:30 a.m. Two SUVS, one car and one truck were involved in the accident that resulted in at least one rollover. An adult and a child were transported from the scene with serious injuries, but another child -- a young girl under the age of 10 -- was pronounced deceased following the accident. The cause of the crash has not been determined.

Three children -- ages 2, 5 and 7 -- were critically injured late Sunday in a four-vehicle crash in Marion County involving a Florida Highway Patrol trooper, officials said. The children were airlifted to UF Health Shands after the crash, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 75 at mile marker 345 near Ocala. According to the FHP, 20-year-old Trooper Raul J. Umana was traveling northbound in a marked cruiser and attempted to make a U-turn in the median of the highway. His cruiser, however, struck a guardrail and was redirected into southbound lanes of I-75, the FHP said.
