Nicholasville police say six people killed in US 27 crash

Police say the driver of a car, which had four passengers, was headed north on US 27, somehow lost control, crossed the median, and hit another car. That car also had five people inside, and was hit head on. Police say one of those cars caught fire.

Steven's mother, Sabra Taylor, says she is setting up a fund for funeral expenses at Central Bank in Nicholasville. She says people will be able to bring donations to Newhope church in Nicholasville.

There were five people in each vehicle. Several of the dead were children, Harvey said.

Six people, including three children, were killed and four were injured Thursday night after a station wagon traveling north on U.S. 27 in Nicholasville lost control, crossed the median and hit a van head-on, police said. Police say the driver of a car, which had four passengers, was headed north on US 27, somehow lost control, crossed the median, and hit another car.
