A woman from Surrey, B.C., was knocked unconscious when she crashed her car into a guardrail at the Slater Road interchange Friday afternoon, Feb. 28. Bernadette M. Casavant, 60, exited the freeway at the southbound off-ramp of Interstate 5 but ran through the stop sign at the end of the ramp.The Altima crashed into a guard rail on the opposite side of the road. No other cars were hit. Casavant, the Altima's only occupant, was briefly knocked out. She couldn't recall how the crash happened.
