A six-month-old infant died following a six hour period of being left in a car parked at the Intel facility on NE 25th Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon. Initially, the infant was unresponsive, and taken to Tuality Community hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The cause of death is unknown as the child had been taken to the doctor earlier in the day, but possible child neglect is being investigated.

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Hillsboro, Oregon Tuesday night. The incident occured on October 14, 2014 by Southwest Cornelius Pass Road and Johnson Street, an area with no crosswalks. The pedestrian may have been under the influence. The driver who hit the pedestrian stayed at the scene.

An elderly couple's car was hit by a train and pushed for 100ft in Hillsboro, OR. Maloote Mathews, 85, was driving north on Southeast River Road around 12:20 p.m., when the Toyota Corolla stopped on train tracks near the Tualatin Valley Highway intersection as the crossing arms came down. A westbound Portland & Western Railroad train was unable to come to a complete stop before hitting the passenger side of the car. Saramma Mathews, 82, was trapped in the car and had to be cut out.

The 57-year-old driver was being pursued by the police before crashing into an oncoming vehicle, which caused a collision with a third vehicle. The driver going the wrong-way was taken to Emanuel Hospital with a broken back, ribs and hip and is expected to recover. The two other drivers have already been treated and release by nearby hospitals.
