Baby dies after left in car at Intel parking lot

According to Lt. Mike Rouches of Hillsboro police, the child was left in the car for six hours prior to the call.

The father of a 6-month-old girl, who died after being alone in a car for hours, told patrol officers he had forgotten his daughter was inside the vehicle, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.

A six-month-old infant died following a six hour period of being left in a car parked at the Intel facility on NE 25th Avenue in Hillsboro, Oregon. Initially, the infant was unresponsive, and taken to Tuality Community hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The cause of death is unknown as the child had been taken to the doctor earlier in the day, but possible child neglect is being investigated.
