An early morning accident closed both directions of Lake Mead Boulevard near Pecos Road Monday. The crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m.
Police say a motorcycle with two people on it and a vehicle were traveling eastbound on Lake Mead, when they collided. The male driver of the motorcycle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
A young child was hit and injured by a car in the central valley Friday morning.
Las Vegas police received reports of the crash in the 3700 block of Bonanza Road, near the intersection with Pecos Road, about 11 a.m., a police spokesman said.
The 4-year-old was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The site had been cleared by police by 1:30 p.m.
A two-year-old girl is dead after a minivan hit her near Pecos Road and Lake Mead Boulevard Thursday night.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Pecos near Dillon Avenue. Police say the child was in the northbound lane of Pecos Road, when a Ford Windstar that was also traveling north struck the child. Police say a second vehicle may have also hit her and drove away.
The girl died before emergency crews could take her to the hospital.
The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the man struck and killed on Boulder Highway Monday night as 57-year-old Michael Madison of Las Vegas.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 10:15 p.m. near Desert Inn Road.
Madison ran into the road and was hit by a gray Volkswagen, troopers said. He was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Troopers say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The driver has not been charged.
A 40-year-old man is dead after an accident Monday evening near Pecos Road and Hacienda Avenue.
Police say the man, later identified as Ian Arche, was riding his Honda motorcycle southbound on Pecos Road, when a Ford Explorer turned in front of him.
The motorcyclist lost control of his bike. He was separated from the motorcycle, which then crashed into the truck.
Emergency crews took the man to Sunrise Hospital, where he died.
Police arrested the driver of the Ford, 41-year-old Francisco Contreras-DeJesus, on one count of felony DUI-death.
The man who died in the motorcycle accident in North Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as Donald Joseph Reed, 58, of North Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol received a call just before 3:30 p.m. to the Lake Mead Boulevard on-ramp to northbound Interstate 15. Police said Reed crashed the motorcycle into a dirt area. Reed died at University Medical Center. The specific cause of death is unknown at this time.
44-year-old man killed, after his motorcycle collides with a pickup on Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas.
A motorcycle rider died Thursday night after his bike collided with a pick-up truck.
The crash happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Desert Inn Road near Brentwood Street. Police say the motorcycle, a 2005 Harley Davidson, was traveling westbound along Desert Inn, when it hit the truck. The truck was turning from Brentwood on to eastbound Desert Inn at the time of the collision.
A 50-year-old woman died after car crashed into another vehicle on Saturday, police said.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of MLK and Cartier. North Las Vegas police say the woman was driving a jeep when she collided with another car.
She was taken to UMC Trauma where she died. Police say there was an 11-year-old in the jeep with her who suffered minor injuries.
A 19-year-old was driving the car and was not injured in the wreck.
