The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries, but the victim’s condition is currently unknown, Beres said. Highway patrol officials are looking for the vehicle involved.

Monday, September 15, 2014Carl Davis Simpson, 47, of Little River, has been identified as the man who was found dead on the side of Highway 90 Monday morning following a hit and run accident, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information from the public to find the vehicle that struck and killed him. The hit and run happened sometime after 8 p.m. on Sunday on S.C. 90 about 1 mile north of Nixon's Crossroads.
