Authorities say a second person has died from her injuries after a fiery collision on Interstate 75 in Madison County. Melissa Meade, 38, of Warren County, Ohio, died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Christopher Shawn "Cheerios" Truesdell, 41, died from severe burns on Saturday at the hospital. The collision occurred Saturday on I-75 in Madison County when a car crossed a median and crashed into a van, which then caught fire. The cause of the crash is not yet known.

One person died and another sustained minor injuries on Christmas Eve in a single-vehicle crash in Hernando County. Merritt Clinton Atchley, 38, of Clearwater, was killed in the crash, which occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on northbound Interstate 75. The driver Kimberly Atchley lost control of the 2005 Saturn VUE, which exited the highway and collided with a tree. Merritt Clinton Atchley died at the crash site.

A single vehicle rollover crash at approximately 6:00 PM on December 19th caused I-75 in Kawkawlin Township to be closed for most of the evening. The Griffith family was returning to Cape Coral on I-75 after a vacation in Tennessee when their car was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Caitlin Grace. The impact caused Grace's vehicle to flip, and the Griffith vehicle to be pushed onto the shoulder of the road. 5-year-old Nathan Griffith was fatally injured. The driver Alexander Griffith and passenger Sheila Griffith suffered serious injuries, and 7-year-old Marissa Griffith suffered minor injuries. Caitlin Grace was also hospitalized in serious condition.

A man died in an accident in Cincinnati late Tuesday. Anthony Braun, 46, was exiting Interstate 75 to Fifth Street when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a guardrail. He was taken to UC Medical Center, where he died shorty after his arrival. Police said Braun was not wearing a seat belt. Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the fatal crash.

Police say a semi crossed the median and hit another semi head-on, hitting other vehicles and sparking a massive fire and explosions. Police say one person was killed and three others were injured in the crash, while two firefighters were injured while battling the fire. People living within a half-mile radius from the crash were evacuated for a few hours but were later allowed to return home.

American athlete Torrin Lawrence has been killed in a car accident, aged 25.

Lawrence's car suffered a puncture on Interstate 75 near the state border between Georgia and Florida and as he waited for the emergency services, his vehicle was hit by a truck.

Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock told NBC: "We're not exactly sure where he was in relation to the car (but) he was caught up in the accident."

A motorcycle passenger killed in a Sunday morning accident has been identified as Ellie Morris, according to Fulton County Medical Examiner's office.

Morris, 33, was from the metro Atlanta area.

According to Atlanta police, Jessica Johnson was driving on the southbound side of the I-75/85 connector and tried to get in the left lane to get on to I-20.

Johnson's Hyundai Sonata hit the back of the motorcycle and Morris was a passenger. Morris fell off and was hit by Johnson's car.

A woman from Wauchula has died in an accident on Interstate 75 in Alachua County. According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Linda Myrick, 63, and McArthur Myrick, 69, were traveling northbound on I-75, just past the 406 mile marker. Another car went off the road and struck the front of the Myricks' 2005 Titan causing it to overturn. Linda Myrick was thrown from the car. She was not wearing a seatbelt. She died from her injuries. McArthur Myrick was partially ejected and transported to UF Health in critical condition.
