Authorities are investigating a fatal traffic accident between two mopeds. Johnny Dwaine Lankford, of Burlington, was killed after being thrown off his blue 2013 Tao moped. He was brought to the hospital by emergency services, where he was pronounced dead. Brown, of Graham, sustained injuries to his hand and wrist. According to police, the two men knew each other but weren’t riding together.
Petros was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by TPD Traffic Homicide Unit.
After a Louisville wrongful death, families need help to begin recovering
A man riding a moped died after he was struck by a Marion County deputy in Mullins Wednesday morning, confirmed county Coroner Jerry Richardson. The victim has been identified as 68-year-old Kenneth Killingsworth, according to Coroner Richardson. The accident happened at about 11:38 a.m. on Gapway Street near U.S. 76, in south Mullins, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner's office. Gapway Street was shut down Wednesday afternoon while authorities were at the incident. The Florence County Sheriff's Office is investigating, Coroner Richardson confirmed.
