Tuesday, April 14, 2015Jamie Tennant was driving on State Highway 50 at M Street when she was struck by a Dodge truck going east on Highway 50. She was not wearing a seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the truck received minor injuries. Failure to yield right of way is considered a contributing factor in this accident.

Tuesday, February 24, 2015Anthony Mann of Colorado Springs was northbound in a 1998 Honda Civic on Colorado 115 four miles north of Penrose when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2001 Dodge 2500 pickup truck. The Honda burst into flames, and Mann was pronounced dead at the scene of the Tuesday night crash. The pickup driver was brought to a hospital with serious injuries, and a passenger in the truck sustained minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
