Witnesses say they saw a white Nissan accelerate quickly before the driver ran it into a group care home near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Five patients suffering from traumatic brain injuries and two caretakers lived there. The car drove twenty feet into the home where it struck and killed Jeffrey Brumley, 61. The man was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Police speculate that the crash may have been a suicide attempt, as the driver reportedly has no relation to the group home.
