Phoenix, AZA 16-year-old boy out for a jog was struck by a van and killed on a dark San Tan Valley street early Tuesday morning. Jared Paul Odane was found lying on the south side of a stretch of West Combs Road that has no lighting. Odane was wearing dark clothing and earbuds.

Phoenix, AZA crash involving two school buses in San Tan Valley sent four students to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A Pina County Sheriff's Office spokesman said the crash happened about 8:45 a.m. as schools opened after the long holiday break. Medical personnel treated six of the seven passengers on the two buses, the spokesman said.
The crash was at Denim Trail and Azalea Drive, the spokesman said.

Phoenix, AZA San Tan Valley woman has died of injuries she suffered in a one-car crash Dec. 3.
Krystal Nance, 28, a married mother of five, died Saturday evening from the suffered when the 1998 Buick Skylark she was driving rolled on North Ironwood Road in San Tan Valley about 5:40 p.m., said Tim Gaffney of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Several passers-by reported the crash to the PCSO and Nance was found by medical personnel with severe head trauma, unconscious but breathing.
