A student was hit by a car while getting onto a school bus this morning in Greenville, Texas. At about 6:35 AM, a Greenville ISD school bus stopped at the Garden Park Apartments off of Highway 69. While a 7th grade Greenville Middle School student was getting onto the bus, a car passed by on the right side and hit the child. The bus's stop lights and bars were in use and functioning properly at the time of the accident. The child was sent to Children's Hospital with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries.
