A man driving an ATV with two small girls as passengers, died Saturday when he hit a curb and rolled the vehicle. John Compton, 29, of Quinsey Drive in Bridgeport, died at St. Vincent's Hospital, soon after the 6 p.m. crash on Turkey Roost Road. A 2 year-old and a 6 year-old girl were thrown from the vehicle after the accident but did not sustain serious injuries. The two girls were brought to local hospitals, were treated for their injuries and released to their parents.

A Waterford man was killed Christmas Day in an ATV crash in Halfmoon, New York. Vladimir Sandul , 44, died when the ATV he was driving on private property near Brookwood Road rolled over into a gravel pit. He was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at a local hospital. No further details are available at the time of this report.

Dakota Jay Yoder was riding a 4-wheeler on private property when the vehicle flipped on top of him. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. Bruce Turner was riding an ATV on a wooded trail in High Falls when the vehicle flipped and pinned him underneath. He was found unconcious and unresponsive, and was taken to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Fred Douglas Smith and Judith Pascoe Smith were riding on an ATV on Greene County Highway 20 when they collided with a Cadillac Escalade driven by Billy Killian, 83, and were ejected from their vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No one else was hurt in the accident.

A 23-year-old man, Travis J. Mahaffey, was killed when his ATV crashed in rural Sherburne County. The accident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday on County Road 43 at 176th Street in Big Lake Township. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after the crash and died about 4 hours later. Authorities have not given information about the circumstances that led to Mahaffey’s death.

A popular area for all-terrain vehicle riders was the site of a fatal accident Sunday. Kenneth Gibbs, 40, of Middletown, was riding his ATV onTrenton-Franklin Road around 5 p.m when he lost control of his vehicle and it rolled over him. Gibbs was pronounced dead at the scene. Gibbs’ two daughters and wife rushed to the accident site Sunday. Gibbs had more than 20 years of experience riding an ATV. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but Melissa Gibbs said her husband’s funeral will likely take place later this week.

An all-terrain-vehicle accident killed one woman in Laurel, Nebraska on Friday, November 7. Sharon Bose, 67, was driving one ATV and Herbert Bose, 68, was driving another when the two vehicles collided. Sharon was fatally injured when the ATV she was driving rolled on top of her. She died from her injuries at a local hospital.

Quinton resident James Cook, 50, is deceased after crashing his utility-terrain vehicle near Lake Eufaula on Friday at approximately 9:30 p.m. Cook and two passengers were riding on a beach about two miles south of Crowder when Cook lost control of the vehicle. Cook was ejected from the UTV after it rolled on its passenger side. Cook died at the scene. The two passengers, Jared Howell, 34, and Christopher Hoffman, 38, were not injured in the accident.

A 4-year-old girl, identified as Tailynn Felker has died Monday night following an ATV crash in Summit Township, Pennsylvania. Three other children, including a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 9-year-old, were taken to Meyersdale Medical Center to treat injuries. The accident occured around 5:00 p.m. on October 27 when a 14-year-old girl was driving the ATV with the four young passengers when she lost control and rolled the vehicle near a railroad crossing on Scratch Hill Road. None of the children were wearing helmets.
