Authorities say a 44-year-old man has killed in a weekend snowmobile accident in northern Ohio. Gary Jenkins of Norwalk was killed late Saturday when the snowmobile he was riding struck a culvert and threw him south of Sandusky. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the 1997 Ski-Doo snowmobile struck a tree after hitting the culvert. The Huron County coroner pronounced Jenkins -- who was wearing a helmet -- dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.

A man was killed in a fiery ejection crash in North Nashville Saturday night. It happened around 10 PM in the 900 block of West Trinity Lane. Police say the driver was thrown from his vehicle when it swerved off the road and into a steel utility pole. The vehicle caught fire after the driver was ejected. The Nashville Fire Department responded to extinguish the blaze. Authorities are not sure what caused the accident. The investigation is ongoing.

Six people, including five in a bridal party, were injured Saturday evening in a two-car accident in Kirkland. The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Juanita Drive. A southbound vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle occupied by five females, all members of a bridal party. The southbound driver was ejected from her vehicle and transported to Harborview Medical Center with a possible brain injury. The five women in the northbound vehicle were taken to Evergreen Health hospital with possible broken bones and other serious injuries.

Two children were killed, and three other people were hurt after a truck and an SUV collided yesterday in Oak Grove Township at the interesection of Hwy. 35 and 468th Ave. An 11-year-old girl in the SUV died at the scene and another passenger -- a five-year-old girl -- died later at a hospital. The crash happened about 3:40 yesterday afternoon.

An Oregon City woman died after she was ejected out of a friend's car that was turning onto a street in Gresham Wednesday night, police said. Peggy J. Jennen, 73, died at the scene just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Gresham Police Department. Investigators said her friend, Lisa A. Wilson, 52, of Troutdale, was driving drunk when she turned from westbound NW Division Street to southbound NW Bella Vista Place and Jennen fell out of the car.

Two people were killed and a third seriously injured when a freight train crushed an SUV at a Klamath Falls crossing on Tuesday, police said. MacKenzie Conway, 33, was driving a 1995 Jeep Cherokee north along a gravel road parallel to the railroad tracks near U.S. 97 around 10:50 a.m., Oregon State Police said. The driver's brother, Nicholas Conway, 27, and Nicholas' wife, Kella Conway, 25, were passengers in the SUV when MacKenzie Conway tried to cross the train tracks at a marked railroad crossing near milepost 281, police said.

A young couple died Friday afternoon when they were ejected from a Smart car after it was struck by a Chevrolet Camaro, then a Chevrolet Cavalier on U.S. Highway 441, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Three people were injured in a Dunedin crash Friday that closed part a major road for six hours. Two of the crash victims suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Investigators say the crash happened at about 11:43 a.m. at the intersection of Belcher and Highland Woods Drive, which is just south of Curlew Road.

Families and friends are mourning the loss of four Warren County High School seniors killed in a fiery car crash overnight Saturday on Viola Road. They are grappling with the burdensome question: How do you say goodbye to sons, a daughter, siblings, friends - all teenagers gone too soon. Kaimen Collins 17, Dominique Pinegar, Christopher Frazier and Shanna Seiderer were out playing tag. All four died in the crash that occurred late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Two women and a 12-year-old girl died early Saturday when the minivan they were in hit a concrete wall and flipped, ejecting some of the van's occupants on a Southern California freeway. Abigail Romero, 19; Abigail Estrella, 37; and Katie Davila, 12, from Lancaster, were killed in the crash reported after midnight on the Arroyo Seco (110) Parkway northbound connector to the Golden State (5) Freeway, Los Angeles County Coroner’s officials said. Four other people -- two men and a boy and girl -- were critically injured in the crash.
