A 20-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday when he flew off his bike and hit a pickup, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was riding his 2013 Ducati Monster on westbound state Route 94 at 1:44 p.m. when he went to transition onto southbound Interstate 15.
The CHP said the man entered the turn at 60 mph despite a suggested speed of 30 mph. The motorcyclist tried to brake, but as a result the bike went off the road and struck a median.
An SUV carrying two people and two dogs rolled off the right shoulder and down an embankment on Interstate 15 on Wednesday, catching fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car was traveling southbound around 1:10 p.m. near Gopher Canyon Road when somehow it veered off the road.
A husband and wife, both about 50, suffered minor injuries, while the dogs ran out of the car and were loose for nearly two hours before being corralled.

One person died, six were seriously injured and 13 others suffered minor injuries when a casino-bound charter bus overturned on south Interstate 15 just south of state Route 76 near Bonsall Thursday afternoon, authorities said. This is the second casino tour bus crash today in California.
The 56-year-old driver, from Compton, said the crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. after the bus started to fishtail, said a CHP Officer. The driver tried to correct, and the bus spun around and fell on its side.

At about 3:20 p.m., a white northbound car slammed into the right wall on the side of Interstate 15 between Provo and Springville, the Utah Highway Patrol Trooper said. The car then slide across the freeway and hit the left barriers. As the car was coming to a stop in the middle of the freeway, a semi trailer hauling Xerox copies swerved to miss it and fell over.
