Motorcyclist dies in accident on freeway.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist died Wednesday when he flew off his bike and hit a pickup, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was riding his 2013 Ducati Monster on westbound state Route 94 at 1:44 p.m. when he went to transition onto southbound Interstate 15.

The CHP said the man entered the turn at 60 mph despite a suggested speed of 30 mph. The motorcyclist tried to brake, but as a result the bike went off the road and struck a median.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the seat and into oncoming traffic, where he struck a pickup. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 43 year-old-man, was not hurt.
