One person is dead after a Jeep collided with a barrier and rolled over.
It happened just after 5 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Interstate – 25 between E-470 and Highway 7.
State troopers say the Jeep Wrangler collided with the concrete barrier and rolled onto its side.
A 19-year-old passenger in the Jeep, Marysol Tarango, was thrown from the vehicle.
Two vehicles then struck her and she died on the scene.
Northbound Interstate 25 reopened in Santa Fe early Thursday following a three-vehicle collision that officials said was caused when a vehicle went the wrong way. According to officials, the accident occurred Wednesday evening near St. Francis Road.
Sandoval County Sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Baron remained in critical condition and on life support after he was struck by a car on icy Interstate 25 while investigating a weather-related crash near San Felipe Pueblo.
Baron, 47, remained in the neurological intensive care unit at the University of New Mexico Hospital where law enforcement officers from several agencies awaited word of his condition, a Sandoval County said.
