Portland, OR24-year-old Tersee S. Gar of Tualatin is dead after a fatal crash involving a semi truck on Interstate 5 near Wilsonville, Oregon. The exit ramp near the location was affected during the investigation and traffic backed up to the Boone Bridge over the Willamette River.

Portland, ORA 48-year-old Dallas, Oregon man died in a fiery crash on Interstate 5 south of Wilsonville Friday.
Lt. Gregg Hastings, an Oregon State Police spokesman, said a northbound 1993 Buick Regal went off the road near Milepost 281, about three miles south of Wilsonville, around 11:55 a.m.
He said the car went through the shoulder, through grass for about 200 feet and crashed into a tree. The car then burst into flames.
The driver, identified as Emuel James Smothers, died at the scene. Hastings said the crash remains under investigation.

Portland, ORTwo inmates in a roadside work crew were struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 5 near Wilsonville Tuesday morning, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
Witnesses said the truck driver told them he choked on coffee and then passed out before hitting the workers.
One of the injured inmates was taken to Oregon Health & Science University hospital. The 40-year-old woman's injuries were serious, but did not appear to be life-threatening, according to TVF&R spokesman Piseth Pich. The other inmate was treated at the scene.
