Salvador Ramos Escareno was driving north on State Route 17 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Sandra D. Dodge. Escareno was taken to Othello Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries, and his car was totalled. Dodge had been headed east on Bench Road and failed to yield to northbound traffic on SR-17. She was not injured.

East 26th near Mile Post 65 in Adams County, Washington has been fully blocked from traffic following a two-car, head-on accident that happened on Wednesday night. Two people were killed in the accident, identifed as Chandler Tran, 19, and Kylie Hammington, 42. Police are investigating if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. A 26-year-old woman died in a crash on Interstate 90 just before 7 a.m. Wednesday when she fell asleep while driving and her vehicle rolled over. Giselle Naughton, of Seattle, was traveling east about 24 miles west of Ritzville with her boyfriend and three-year-old daughter when she exited the roadway after falling asleep. She was pronounced deceased at the site.

At around 5:00am, Gerlach was driving on I-90 with Hedel-Ostrowski as a passenger when he began to drift into the left shoulder of the road. He then overcorrected, which caused the car to rollover two times, injuring both occupants in the process and sending them to the hospital.

A 10-vehicle collision with one fatality is blocking both westbound lanes of Interstate 90 seven miles east of Ritzville. After initially saying two people had died in the accident, the Washington State Patrol’s follow-up news release said one person with life-threatening injuries and was been taken to Ritzville Hospital. The accident occurred at 12:46 p.m. and is fully blocking the westbound lanes. The Washington State Patrol does not know when the road will reopen.

Trooper Dean Burt, 56, was parked on the right side of northbound U.S. Highway 395 at mile post 96 near Ritzville investigating a collision scene at 9:23 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release. Mitchell Larson, 24, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic in the left lane when he spun out, crossing both lanes and striking Burt’s fully marked patrol vehicle. Burt suffered non life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to East Adams Rural Hospital, where he was treated and released. Larson was uninjured. Larson received a ticket for driving too fast for conditions.
