A missing snowmobiler was found dead after he apparently crashed on an ice-covered lake in Walworth County over the weekend. Searchers were called to Lake Delavan around 8 a.m. Sunday to look for the 51-year-old man who had been missing about 12 hours. Investigators said the man's family found his snowmobile out on the frozen lake Sunday morning and called police.

A snowmobiler crashed into a tree on a trail in Kansasville Thursday night, leaving the driver unconscious with serious head injuries, according to a release from the Racine County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 75. The driver, who was wearing a helmet, missed a curve, went off trail and was ejected toward the tree. He had to be flown to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life. Speed and alcohol were believed to be factors.

An Anderson woman was injured Wednesday morning after a snowmobile she was on crashed. Police say the driver was drunk. Indiana conservation officers responded to the 20400 block of Creek Road in Noblesville for a crash around midnight Wednesday. Upon investigation, police say Joel Hackleman, 42, of Noblesville, was driving the snowmobile and drove into a ditch. Hackleman was ejected. His passenger, Rebecca Benson, 32, was over the handlebars of the vehicle. Benson was taken to St. Vincent Hospital for a serious leg injury.

The driver of an SUV who crashed into a pole in Seattle’s Rainier Valley Sunday night has been arrested on vehicular assault charges. The collision occurred at  Rainier Avenue South and South Willow Street shortly after 9 p.m., where a SUV with a driver and three passengers had collided with a telephone pole at a high rate of speed. The driver, a 27-year-old man, had a broken leg. One passenger, who was ejected from the back seat, had serious injuries. Another passenger had minor injuries from the crash.

An Oregon City woman died after she was ejected out of a friend's car that was turning onto a street in Gresham Wednesday night, police said. Peggy J. Jennen, 73, died at the scene just after 11:30 p.m., according to the Gresham Police Department. Investigators said her friend, Lisa A. Wilson, 52, of Troutdale, was driving drunk when she turned from westbound NW Division Street to southbound NW Bella Vista Place and Jennen fell out of the car.
