Natalie Barnard, 20 and Rachel Beckstrom, 19, were involvied in the crash on Matt Highway Friday afternoon, which occurred when a car driven by Barnard was crushed by a tractor-trailer as she was pulling out of a driveway. Natalie was killed and Beckstrom suffered serious injuries. The two were in Atlanta doing missionary work for the Church of Latter Day Saints, and the women were working when the crash happened. Beckstrom is listed in critical condition at the Atlanta Medical Center.

A Cumming man crashed his car and died in south Forsyth County Monday morning, according to a news release from the Forsyth County Sheriff's office.

According to deputy Michael Nelson, 27-year-old Alexander Robert was driving eastbound around a curve on Bentley Road just after 9 a.m. when his right tires left the road.

While attempting to correct the vehicle, Nelson overcorrected, went into the westbound lane, left the road and struck a tree, according to police.

Authorities said Robert died at the scene.

Forsyth County authorities have arrested a 17-year old they say is responsible for a crash that killed a teen in Cumming.

According to authorities, Adam Robert Joseph Di Millo of Dawsonville crashed his 2011 Dodge Ram on Kelly Mill Road around 1:18 a.m. on Saturday morning.

During the accident, an unidentified teen was ejected and killed and three other teens were hospitalized after the car was impaled by a telephone pole.

A 74-year-old woman injured Thursday in a two-car collision in south Forsyth County has died, the sheriff’s office said Friday. Nancy Yeakel, 74, of Johns Creek, died Thursday night at North Fulton Hospital, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. The crash occurred about 11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road, police said. The driver of a 2013 Jeep Patriot, 39-year-old Eric Hasslock of Cumming, reportedly failed to stop at a red light and crashed into Yeakel’s 2006 Toyota Avalon, hitting the driver’s side door, police said.

Forsyth County sheriff's officials said a 13-year-old girl died after a car crash Saturday afternoon.

The collision occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Martin Road and Shadburn Road.

A 2008 Ford F250, being driven by Jason Kenney of Cumming, was traveling west on Martin Road approaching Shadburn Road.

A 1998 Acura TL, being driven by Kori Pirkle, 19, also of Cumming, was traveling east on Martin Road and was making a left turn onto Shadburn Road when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

A man attempting to flee from police crashed his truck into a tree Wednesday in Forsyth County.

Around 2 p.m., a Forsyth County deputy clocked a truck going 86 mph in a 65 mph zone on GA 400.

The driver of the truck, identified by police as Brandon Friday, fled south on GA 400 and took Exit 9, Haynes Bride Road.

Deputies said Friday lost control and crashed into a tree about a half mile from Northpoint Mall.

Friday was booked into Forsyth Detention Center. He suffered a small hand injury in the accident.
