Witnesses said a man who was visibly upset deliberately drove his car into the front entrance of a southwest Atlanta Kroger Wednesday evening.

The Kroger, located at 590 Cascade Ave., was closed for the night after the crash, but reopened at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Witnesses said three women were transported to area hospitals because of leg injuries. A Kroger manager said that no employees were among the injured.

A drunk, wrong-way driver did not stop until she caused a head-on collision Thursday morning. The accident occurred at the Downtown Connector ramp to I-20. The driver of the car, Monica Arrington, 38, went to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Arrington was charged with DUI, reckless driving and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Police have identified the man who died after an early morning accident in Roswell on Tuesday morning.

23-year-old Chase Alexander Luther from Roswell was the only occupant of the Toyota pickup truck that lost control.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. on Crabapple Road near Hembre Road. Authorities say the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.

Roswell Police sat the tree feel on the car and trapped the victim inside.

Due to the accident, Hembree Road from Crabapple Road to Saddlebrook Court were closed for much of the morning.

An innocent bystander remained hospitalized Friday morning after being seriously injured when a driver crashed into her as he was trying to avoid being captured by police officers.

According to Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo of the Fairburn Police Department, the 31-year-old woman was one of several people injured when a man driving a Dodge Durango crashed into another vehicle before slamming into a MARTA bus stop in Union City.

A toddler was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in South Fulton County on Friday. According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened after a Lincoln Navigator, carrying six people, traveling north on I-85 hit the median. Authorities say a three-year-old child was ejected during the accident and landed in the opposite direction. The child was transported to Egleston in serious condition.

An officer-involved car crash Saturday morning left one person dead. It happened around 1:30 a.m. in Atlanta on Cleveland Avenue. Investigators said the Atlanta officer was on his way to a call when a van turned into his path. They did not immediately know whether the officer's lights and sirens were activated when the accident happened. One person in the van died. He was later identified as Aarron Brown, Sr., 57. A second person was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The officer complained of minor injuries. The names of those involved were not immediately released.

The truck driver killed Wednesday in a fatal wreck that shutdown northbound lanes of I-85 in Spaghetti Junction for hours has been identified as 33-year-old Corey Hart of Lithia Springs.

Two people from the Birmingham area were killed in a car wreck in Georgia over the weekend.

Elise Word, 25, of Birmingham, and Denerra Patterson, 25, of Docena, were killed when the car Word was driving flipped and hit a guard rail on U.S. Highway 78/Stone Mountain Highway around 5 a.m. Sunday.

The vehicle flipped several times and hit an SUV, but the driver of the other vehicle was not injured, according to the newspaper.

Authorities say several students on a school bus were hurt in a crash in Atlanta, but their injuries appeared to be minor. An Atlanta police spokeswoman says that several of the students complained of back and neck injuries and were being taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding. The wreck happened around 8:40 a.m.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed one man and critically injured another man as they helped change a tire on a metro Atlanta freeway. DeKalb County police say two women had called the men to help them change the tire when the men were struck by a pickup. It happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday on westbound Interstate 20, near Panola Road. Police said a pickup truck they said was not maintaining its lane struck the men and kept driving. A second car followed the truck until the driver was pulled over.
