3 people injured, transported to hospital, two others arrested, after a car crashes into a Kroger grocery store on Cascade Avenue in southwest Atlanta.
Three injured when car crashes into Atlanta Kroger.
Witnesses said a man who was visibly upset deliberately drove his car into the front entrance of a southwest Atlanta Kroger Wednesday evening.
The Kroger, located at 590 Cascade Ave., was closed for the night after the crash, but reopened at 6 a.m. Thursday.
Witnesses said three women were transported to area hospitals because of leg injuries. A Kroger manager said that no employees were among the injured.
A witness stated that she was at the Kroger with her boyfriend and his brother. The brothers got into an argument, she said, and her boyfriend's brother took the keys.
"He said no one is driving this car tonight and hit the gas," the witness said.
Both men were arrested for disorderly conduct. The man who drove the car into the store also will be charged with wreck-less driving, police said. They did not identify either brother.
Way said her boyfriend's brother was upset because his girlfriend had been arrested earlier in the day.
