Honolulu, HIA man was rushed to the hospital after an accident on Kula Highway on Maui.
The incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday near Kealakapu Road in Kula.
Police say when a 23-year-old man was driving a white 1999 Toyota Tacoma pick-up north on Kula Highway, a 23-year-old passenger climbed out of the cab of the truck through the rear sliding window and into the bed of the truck.
The man fell out of the truck’s bed while the truck was moving. He was transported to the hospital in critical life-threatening injuries.

Honolulu, HIA 26-year-old Hilo man is dead after an early morning car crash in Kea’au.
It happened at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the Kea’au-Pahoa Road between the three and four mile-markers.
Police say the 26-year-old man, later identified as Matthew Therrien, was traveling west on the Kea’au-Pahoa Road when he overtook a vehicle and collided with a Ford pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The 52-year-old man driving the truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
