Chicago, ILState police state a 42-year-old Hammond woman is dead after the car she was driving rolled over on an Interstate 80 off-ramp in her hometown. Police say the car driven by Trina Harrell left the road shortly after 6 p.m. Central time Friday, overturned and landed on its roof and landed in waist deep water in a retention pond. She was pronounced at Munster Community Hospital.

Trenton-NJ25-year-old Carolann Devlin, of Williamstown, died following a car crash in Hamilton Township, New Jersey Thursday. Devlin was driving west on Route 322 when her Toyota Camry went off the road and collided with a tree near milemarker 42 around 1:14 p.m. on October 16, 2014. Devlin had to be removed from her car by the Hamilton Rescue Squad. She was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where she died. It is unclear whether or not she wore a seatbelt and what caused the accident.

The driver hit another vehicle at I-17 and Bethany Home Road, where officers successfully took him into custody.

Sunday, October 12, 2014Two troopers in a police SUV were struck by a vehicle driving the wrong way onto exit 8 eastbound on I-90 in North Greenbush, NY. The troopers were taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, and released. William Danish, the driver of the other vehicle, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent and a previous DWI conviction, Danish was arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail.

Sunday, October 12, 2014 Lucas Sienkiewicz, 19, fell asleep while driving on Williston Road when his car hit a tree and rolled down an embankment, almost falling into Muddy Brook near Kennedy Drive. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver slammed through the front glass window of the 5 Star Rental, there was substantial damage to the store and a concrete pole; the store was closed when the accident occured. The two individuals inside the vehicle were taken to Halifax Medical Center for their injuries.

The driver of a Pontiac G6, swerved into the right emergency lane crashing into a disabled abandoned pickup truck. The individual was killed after the car spun around, turned over and burst into flames. The vehicle was destroyed and efforts to identify the driver and determine the cause of the accident continue.
