Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLIt was about 11:00 p.m. when 41-year-old Guadalupe Hernandez-Lopez was under the influence of alcohol and driving south in the northbound lanes of 20th Street West. He then collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Samantha Wade, 22, seriously injuring her. His car continued to crash into a parked car and eventually a house, causing considerable damage. Hernandez-Lopez was hospitalized along with Wade, but sustained only minor injuries. He was then arrested on numerous DUI-related charges.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA Mazda Protege was heading south on U.S. 301 at 12:19 p.m. when the vehicle drove onto the shoulder, overcorrected, and traveled back across all lanes. The car exited the road and hit a tree. Passenger Andrea Faith Rivas Lopez, 24, was transported to Blake Medical Center, where she died. Another passenger sustained minor injuries, and the driver was not injured.
