A Bradenton woman died Saturday afternoon in a traffic crash on U.S. 301.
A Mazda Protege was heading south on U.S. 301 at 12:19 p.m. when the vehicle drove onto the shoulder, overcorrected, and traveled back across all lanes. The car exited the road and hit a tree. Passenger Andrea Faith Rivas Lopez, 24, was transported to Blake Medical Center, where she died. Another passenger sustained minor injuries, and the driver was not injured.
