State police are continuing their investigation of a fatal collision Saturday in New Wilmington Township, Mercer County, in which an International truck trailer struck the back of a horse-drawn Amish buggy, killing two of the buggy's passengers. The victims, Mary Byler, 34, of New Wilmington and her 11-year-old daughter, whose name was being withheld, were pronounced dead at the scene by Mercer County Coroner who said they died of blunt force trauma.

The driver of an SUV died Sunday after rear-ending a PennDOT snow plow truck on Interstate 79 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania State Police said. State police and the Mercer County coroner have yet to release the name of the driver whose Chevrolet Tahoe drove into the southbound plow just after 7 p.m. SUV crashed into the plow at mile marker 119 in Findley. Troopers said the vehicle caught fire and spun around after rear-ending the plow. A deputy coroner pronounced the driver dead at the scene. State police said the PennDOT driver wasn’t hurt.
