A 67-year-old Port Richey man died Friday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash in Pasco County.

Robert T. Sigmon was pronounced dead at the scene just before 5 p.m.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report the incident occurred near the intersection of Laredo Dr. and State Road 52 in the Bayonet Point community. Jessica Ann Davis was traveling south in her 2004 Dodge Intrepid on Laredo when she proceed into the intersection turning right on SR 52.

A school bus and two cars were involved in an accident, leaving one dead, in Dade City Wednesday afternoon. The three-vehicle accident occurred near the intersection of US 301 and Morningside Drive, Dade City Police say. Police say a Smart car was sitting at a red light in the southbound lanes of US 301 when it was struck by a Pasco County school bus. The impact pushed the vehicle into the intersection where it struck a third vehicle driven by 65-year-old Harian McDonald of Dade City. McDonald was killed at the scene.

A crash on a Pasco County road killed one teen and injured three others.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Kevin Monaco, 16, was behind the wheel of a Dodge Caravan driving on Lake Forest Circle at 2:55 p.m. on Friday.

As he approached a curve near Forest Lake Drive, troopers say he “failed to negotiate the curve safely”, and ran off the road.

The minivan hit a tree, and burst into flames. Troopers say Monaco died at the scene. The other three passengers were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Two people were airlifted to hospitals Thursday afternoon after a school bus and a car collided on State Road 56 at Interstate 75 in Pasco County. The persons injured were in the car. They were later identified as; James Yant Jr., 56, Felicia Smith, 23, and Frederick Whiting, 27. A Pasco County Schools spokesperson says four Wesley Chapel High School students between the ages of 16 and 19 were on the bus at the time of the crash. The students sustained minor injuries and were released from the scene to their parents.

A crash involving a daycare van sent several children to Pasco hospitals. It happened on State Road 56 at the intersection with Mansfield Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the Kids-R-Kids daycare van tried to make a left turn onto Mansfield Boulevard, and drove into the path of another vehicle. That vehicle hit the van, which fell over onto its side. Twenty-four children were on board the van at the time of the crash. Troopers say eight children had minor injuries, and two were taken to area hospitals for evaluation.

The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a Zephyr Hills man and three of his family members in connection with a head-on hit-and-run crash that sent a Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputy to the hospital. Deputy Darren Hill, 29, of Wesley Chapel was seriously injured when his cruiser was hit by a F-150 Ford truck in Wesley Chapel area early Wednesday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
