Philadelphia, PAA section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Carlisle Interchange (Exit #226) and the Breezewood Interchange (#161) is now closed westbound due to a multi-vehicle accident involving two tractor trailers and two passenger cars at milepost 175.6. No injuries are being reported.

Philadelphia, PAThe Pennsylvania Turnpike was the scene of a multi-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer has blocked the right lane at mile post 345.2E.
According to state police, a tractor trailer fell down an embankment around mile marker 345.2 in the eastbound direction. The right lane is currently blocked by the car.
State Police say the tractor-trailer is leaking diesel fuel because the tank was fractured in the accident, but it will not be a major hazmat issue and they are currently working to stop the leak.
