A tractor-trailer hauling molasses crashed in a rural area of Palm Beach County on Friday morning, injuring the driver.
At 5:41 a.m., emergency crews responded to the wreck in the 1000 block of County Rd. 827A.
The semi was upside down with the trailer partially in the canal, and the driver still inside the cab.
Firefighters had to cut the driver from the cab and transported him to Delray Medical Center by Trauma Hawk.
Officials said there was a minor fuel leak, but it was contained, and none entered a nearby canal.

A two-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car at the 600 block of Angler Drive in the Delray Shores community within Delray Beach on Friday.
Initially the driver involved in the crash left the scene, but returned and is currently cooperating with the on-going traffic homicide investigation.
As this is an ongoing investigation, the driver has not yet been charged with any crimes.
Authorities are investigating a crash that critically injured a pedestrian near Gearhart.
The Oregon State Police said the crash occurred Thursday afternoon on Highway 101. Authorities say 20-year-old Jake Edward Weil, of Warrenton, tried to cross the highway to a coffee stand when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.
Authorities say the 72-year-old driver tried to stop. She is now cooperating with the investigation, and the Oregon State Police says there is no evidence she was at fault.
Weil was taken by ambulance to a Portland hospital.
A 90-year-old Issaquah man died of injuries from a car crash Friday afternoon. According to police, two cars were turning onto East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast from Northwest Sammamish Road about 3 p.m. when they collided, causing one of the cars to hit a tree. The driver of that car and the passenger were taken to Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah, where the 90-year-old passenger died from his injuries. The driver of the other car was not injured, according to police, who are still investigating and did not identify any of the people involved.
