The crash occurred at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 93 and 3800 North west of Twin Falls, when 38-year-old Kisha Miszczenko was traveling west on 3800 N when she failed to stop at the intersection. Her Chrysler Cruiser was hit on the passenger side by a Pontiac G6 driven by 25-year-old Douglas Howell. Miszczenko was not wearing a seatbelt, and was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Howell, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Saint Alphonsus Magic Valley. Their current conditions are not being reported at this time.

A 73-year-old BASE jumper, James E. Hickey died after leaping from an Idaho bridge after he set his parachute on fire as part of a stunt. The stunt went wrong when Hickey’s parachute deployed too late and he went into the river.  A coroner’s report said Hickey died of blunt force trauma.

Thomas Frank Fraser Sr. was driving a pickup on Blue Lakes Boulevard North when for unknown reasons he veered into the southbound lanes, hit a pole, and several parked vehicles. Emergency responders performed CPR on him, but Fraser was pronounced dead when he arrived at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center.

Roberto Martinez was traveling eastbound on Idaho 50 when his vehicle left the road and into an empty silage pond. The vehicle overturned, pinning Martinez under it. Emergency crews were able to remove him so that he could be taken by medical helicopter to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
