A car and semi collided on SR 539 at SR 546 (Guide Meridian at Badger Road) in Lynden, injuring three people. A Honda Accord went through a red light when it was struck by the semi. A woman was pinned under the semi’s front axle and had to be extricated by firefighters before being rushed to St. Joseph hospital in what appeared to be critical condition. The Honda driver, a woman, was unconscious and had to be cut from the car because of heavy damage to the vehicle. A 2-year-old boy in a child seat was in the back seat.
