State troopers say a 2005 Dodge Neon was heading north at high speed on Highway 161 just after midnight Thursday when it hit a hill at 238th Street and bottomed out because of the car's low-profile tires. The 17-year-old driver lost control and the car rolled over, crashing on private property. The back seat passenger, later identified as Zachary A. Statezni, 18, of Graham, was ejected from the back seat and slammed into a woman's house. The woman, Lori Jeffries, says she was asleep inside the house at the time of the crash. She awoke when she heard crunching metal and breaking glass.

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed late Monday when he slammed into a cable barrier along Interstate 5 at high speed. Troopers responded to the scene, in the northbound lanes of I-5 in Whatcom County, at about 10:45 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a serious motorcycle crash. The motorcyclist, later identified as Abraham Guerrero, 18, of Bellingham was found dead at the scene. Guerrero was heading north on I-5 at high speed on a 2002 Honda CBR600 MC when he lost control and veered toward the median. The motorcycle slammed into the cable barrier, killing Guerrero.

The 17-year-old driver of a car involved in a fatal crash in Tacoma has been charged with vehicular homicide. The Pierce County prosecutor filed the charge Monday against Eduardo Francisco Francisco-Andres in juvenile court. A hearing will be held next week to determine if he will be prosecuted as an adult, which would mean a tougher sentence if convicted.  The crash killed 15-year-old Alex Ramirez.What money damages are recoverable in a death claim?

A 14-year-old boy was killed Thursday night in a crash in Seabeck, said officials with the Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue. The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. in the area of Seabeck Holly Road and Larson Lane. Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue received a call in reference to a crash at the location.  When crews arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle off the roadway and upside down in a creek. Two teens inside the vehicle got themselves out, but a third teen was trapped inside as the vehicle as it filled with water. Crews extricated the boy and started performing CPR.
