Teen killed after high speed rollover crash in Graham
One person was killed after being ejected from a car that rolled over in Graham Thursday morning. The teenage driver was taken into custody.
State troopers say a 2005 Dodge Neon was heading north at high speed on Highway 161 just after midnight Thursday when it hit a hill at 238th Street and bottomed out because of the car's low-profile tires. The 17-year-old driver lost control and the car rolled over, crashing on private property. The back seat passenger, later identified as Zachary A. Statezni, 18, of Graham, was ejected from the back seat and slammed into a woman's house. The woman, Lori Jeffries, says she was asleep inside the house at the time of the crash. She awoke when she heard crunching metal and breaking glass. She says the car's tires flew off the car and hit her shed. What money damages are recoverable in a death claim?
