Boston, MAWitnesses to a crash on Interstate 95 pulled a woman from a burning pickup truck Monday afternoon, state police said.
Amy Strong, 20, of Hampton was driving on I-95 when her 2008 Ford Ranger left the road, struck construction equipment and caught fire around 12:25 p.m., police said.
Witnesses smashed out the rear window of the truck and pulled Strong from the fiery wreck, police said.
Strong was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.

Wednesday, April 16, 2014Two subcontractors working on a lane restriping project on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield Thursday evening were struck and injured by an alleged drunk driver, according to the California Highway Patrol. The contractors, employees of O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc., were closing the second lane of the ramp from eastbound Interstate Highway 80 to eastbound state Highway 12 using a trailer with an arrow board when the collision occurred around 9:15 p.m., CHP Officer Chris Parker said.

Columbus, OHTwo people were hospitalized after crashing a vehicle into a piece of construction equipment on the east side of Columbus early Wednesday morning.
According to Columbus police, the driver of an SUV traveling south on North Cassady Avenue in the area of East 13th Street was attempting to go around a backhoe that was backing into the street when the SUV struck the back of the piece of equipment at about 2:57 a.m.
Police say the backhoe was backing out of a construction project in the area when the crash occurred.
