The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a car involved in a fatal crash Saturday morning north of the city limits. A pedestrian was killed around 9 a.m. in the crash at U.S. Route 441 and County Road 68, near Okeechobee Golf & Country Club, said a FHP spokesman. The car is a compact vehicle that was thought to be traveling southbound on U.S. 441. It has damage to its right front side and to its right front amber light. Its right side mirror also is missing, Fletcher said. FHP did not have information on the make, model or color of the vehicle.
